In the 26th episode of the "All Day Research" podcast we welcome the first chairwoman of the student council for mathematics and computer science, Christina Rohde. Together with our host Marvin Beckmann she talks about studying, working and living at the campus of the University of Paderborn.
Christina Rohde has been the first chairperson of the Student Council for Mathematics and Computer Science for a year now, and during this time she has worked to create a diverse campus life. For her, the campus is first and foremost a place to come together and feel good: "I can still remember very well the early days of my studies and how overwhelmed I was by how I was welcomed here with open arms. That contributed enormously to why I felt very comfortable here right away and got along well," Christina says.
In addition to Christina's impressions, this episode also presents and discusses other perspectives and opinions on campus life at the University of Paderborn. Both students and faculty have shared their suggestions, wishes and ideas for improvement for a dynamic and even better campus life.
The podcast was realized in cooperation with the Institute of Computer Science and the Student Council for Mathematics/Computer Science. The aim is to give more insights into science and thereby bring students - especially those in their first semester - closer to their studies, to arouse interest and to show how much fun research and studying computer science at the University of Paderborn can be.
