To talk 1:
Small IT company in the countryside? That's not for me! Or is it?
In this presentation I would like to tell you how I, as a mathematician, started to work for a small IT company in the countryside, what tasks I took on there and what experiences I gained there. I also want to tell you, why working in support can be exciting and what the advantages and disadvantages of working in a small company in the countryside are.
The company UBS Hainer GmbH is a small IT company in the field of test data provision. It was founded in 1997 and has around 40 employees. The company is based in Lauterbach-Frischborn (Vogelsbergkreis, Hessen).
Mr. Andreas Kottmann studied mathematics at Paderborn University and graduated in 2009 with a diploma. He has been working at UBS Hainer since 2013, mainly as a supporter since 2018 . Mr. Kottmann is a member of the Matiker and has been its chairman since 2021.
To talk 2:
Companies and authorities are digitally attacked by criminals every day. Networks must be monitored around the clock in order to detect attacks early and to be able to act quickly in an emergency. We offer our customers such monitoring from our Security Operation Center in 24/7 operation.
Orange Cyberdefense is the Orange Group's cybersecurity business unit, providing managed security services to companies around the world.
Mr. Tillmanns studied computer science with a bachelor's degree in Paderborn and then IT security with a master's degree at the TU Darmstadt. He has been a Cyber Security Analyst (Level 2) at Orange Cyberdefense since 2021. Mr. Tillmanns is on the board of the Matikers.
