Inge Meschede retires after 20 years of service to the doctoral committee

After almost 20 years, Ms. Inge Meschede is retiring. Institute Director Professor Dr.-Ing. Christoph Scheytt presented her with a farewell gift on behalf of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology on 01.03.2022 and wished her all the best.

"With Ms. Meschede, we have always had a reliable constant, in a committee that is so important for young scientists," summarized Professor Scheytt. In the course of her work for the doctoral committee, Ms. Meschede supervised around 200 doctoral procedures. She experienced many young scientists on their successful way to the doctorate in the doctoral examination procedures. As an integral part of the institute, she was able to support four doctoral committee chairs over the long years. She particularly enjoyed the independent work and the exchange with the doctoral candidates.

"I wish my successor a good start and much joy in her work for the doctoral committee," says Ms. Meschede, who leaves big shoes to fill.

She herself will now enjoy her retirement by visiting theatres and traveling to get to know other countries and cultures.
