On December 09th 2019 at 04:15 pm the newly qualified junior professors Dr. Julia Bruns and Dr. Michael Liebendörfer give their inaugural lecture about Tablecloth and other Bijections – Learning Mathematics outside of School in the lecture hall O2.
In their abstract they explain:
With the key term learning mathematics the first connotation would be mathematics class at high school. Learning mathematics isn’t limited by school enrolment and graduation though. In our presentation we highlight two (research) areas of mathematical education outside of school: day care centre and university. We present what mathematical didactics intends to reach in this extended perspectives, which features we see within our research areas and which concrete steps we take.
