Jun.-Prof. Dr. Claudia Alfes-Neumann receives a fellowship from the German Scholars Organization and the Klaus Tschira Foundation

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Claudia Alfes-Neumann has received a fellowship from the German Scholars Organization and the Klaus Tschira Foundation for her research on number theory. The mathematician will receive over two years, a total of 80,000 euros from the Klaus Tschira Boost Fund Fellowship.

With the Klaus Tschira Boost Fund, the German Scholars Organization and the Klaus Tschira Foundation want to promote excellent scientists in the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science - by awarding flexible funding, targeted support and advice on professional and personal development, and by supporting the establishment of collaborations and networks. The foundation and the fellowship are named after the entrepreneur and SAP co-founder Klaus Tschira. In 1995 he established the foundation to promote science, computer science and mathematics.

Claudia Alfes-Neumann has been a junior professor for number theory and automorphic forms at the Institute of Mathematics since 2017. Her research focuses on the areas of number theory, module forms and their generalizations as well as L-functions. In February, Alfes-Neumann has already received a scholarship from the Daimler and Benz Foundation, for her research projects on number theory.
