Weierstraß-Prize for excellent teaching 2006
Dr. Ekkart Kindler receives the Weierstraß-Prize for his excellent lectures “Model Checking” (WS 2004/2005). He also gave the tutorials for this lecture in the masters degree programme and was highly praised by his students. The students praise him as a committed and motivated lecturer, who gives “ didactic valuable” lectures. This impression is summarised in the seminar feedbacks:

Alongside his performance in lecturing, Mr Ekkart Kindler campaigns for the improvement of the quality and organisation of Computer science studies. He not only, successfully cooperates in respective committees, but also takes the initiative and lead to implement new ideas.
Dipl.Ing. Thorsten Maschkio is an academic staff member of the working group “Regeltechnik”. He receives the Weierstraß-Prize for his excellent achievements in overseeing tutorials for the lectures “Regeltechnik A & B” during WS 2004/ and SS 2005. He also gave lectures (Regeltechnik B und Modellierung technischer Prozesse) and was also highly evaluated by his students for this. Students especially mention that his tutorials were well structured and that he conveys contents in a comprehensible manner.
