Wei­er­straß-Prize for ex­cel­lent teach­ing 2009

Professor Dr. Wolfgang Lusky manages, at the Institute for Mathematics, the research group “Funktionsanalysis”. He received the Weierstraß-Prize 2009 for his excellent teaching for the lectures “Höhere Mathematik für Elektrotechniker B, C und D”. His students evaluated both, his lectures and his tutorials as throughout positive. The students praise, his competence and also his extensive knowledge, the excellent preparation and his lively and comprehensible style of presentation, in combination with a good atmosphere, during the lectures.

Dr.-Ing Dietmar Wetzler teaches und researches at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in the field “Elektrische Messtechnik” from Prof. Dr. Bernd Henning. The award is based on his excellent achievements in teaching. The students were impressed with his commitment and high motivation, competence and practical experience orientation. Mr Wetzler’s efforts to address the student’s needs, even outside of the courses´ timeframe, by offering additional tutorials for example, deserve a special mentioning.
